Through a combination of a collection at Mike's funeral, a grant from the Scottish Ambulance Service. the excellent support of the Trossachs Search and Rescue Team and the help with the installation of the equipment on the outside of the Hall, Gauldry now has its' own Defibrillator.
The Defibrillator can be easily found next to the main door entrance of the Village Hall.
If you need it just open it up and follow the instructions.
Don't be nervous it is easy to operate.
AED
An AED is an electronic device that automatically diagnoses life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias. It is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm. With simple audio and visual commands, AEDs are designed to be easy to use, and the use of AEDs is taught in many first aid classes.
Many thanks to North East Fife Rotary for their recent donation
